Chairman JB Koshy Rights Panel directed the government to provide insurance protection to the veterinarian who took care of street dogs, birds infected and rogue elephant.
Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala State Human Rights Commission directed the secretary of the head of the government to implement compulsory insurance for veterinarians who enjoy risk occupations such as provision for a rogue elephant tranquilizer.
The complaint also stated by the vice president of the Kerala Kennel Club V Ramkumar.
Complaints by Ramkumar to the commission said that the vet at risk while being involved in the treatment of street dogs
Complaint says that veterinarians who work in areas where the recently dead ducks in large numbers in Alappuzha, also face risks.
Instructions were issued in the background where the incident Gopakumar vet died after being trampled elephant as he tries to manage tranquiliser for it.
